ORDINANCE NO. 2017-35 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING SECTION 1387.01 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES <br />RELATIVE TO INSPECTIONS <br />WHEREAS, it has become necessaryto amend Codified Ordinance Section 1387.01 relative <br />to inspections in order to update the current name of the Property Maintenance Code; and <br />WHEREAS, Village Council deems it in the best interest of the Village and its residents to <br />amend Codified Ordinance Section 1387.01 as set forth below. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of Mayfield Village, County of <br />Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, that: <br />SECTION 1. That Section 1387.01 ofthe Codified Ordinances ofthe Village ofMayfield is <br />hereby and herein amended as follows: <br />1387,01 INSPECTIONS. <br />The Building Commissioner and/or his or her authorized representative is <br />hereby authorized to snake or cause to be made inspections of all buildings, <br />dwellings, structures, premises and secondary or appurtenant structures to <br />determine whether or not such structures or premises conform to the <br />International Property Maintenance Code, as provided in Chapter 1335. Such <br />inspections may also be made whenever the Building Commissioner has <br />reasonable cause to believe that a violation of this Code exists therein or <br />thereon. <br />SECTION 2. All other provisions of the Village Codified Ordinances not inconsistent <br />herewith shall remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of <br />this Ordinance to the Codifier of Mayfield Village. <br />SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
