ORDINANCE NO. 2017-42 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 131 OF THE HAYFIELD VILLAGE CODIFIED ORDINANCES BY REPEALING, IN ITS ENTIRETY, SECTION 131.03 RELATIVE TO THE ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the Village previously adopted Ordinance No. 1992-01 which established the Activities Committee under Section 131.03 of the Mayfield Village Codified Ordinances; and WHEREAS, the Village has determined that, to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Village operations for the benefit of all Village residents, Section 131.03 of the Mayfield Village Codified Ordinances should be repealed, and regulations governing the Village's Parks and Recreation Board be separately amended. WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents to amend Chapter 131 as set forth below. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of Mayfield Village, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: SECTION 1. That Section 131.03 of Mayfield Village's Codified Ordinances, as previously enacted per Ordinance 1992-01, be repealed in its entirety. SECTION 2. All other provisions of Mayfield Village's Codified Ordinances not inconsistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. The Clerk of Council is authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Ordinance to the Codifier of Mayfield Village. SECTION 4. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
