J ORDINANCE NO. 2017-44 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as Whole AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MOTOROLA SERVICES, INC. FOR EQUIPMENT UPGRADE AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR THE HAYFIELD VILLAGE POLICE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, it is necessary to maintain and upgrade the dispatch equipment of the Mayfield Village Police Department in order to provide for the efficient and effective operation of the Police Department; and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village desires to enter into an Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc., to provide such maintenance and upgrade services for the dispatch equipment of the Mayfield Village Police Deparhnent; and WHEREAS, Mayfield Village has found and determined it to be in the best interest, health, safety and welfare of its residents to provide for the maintenance and upgrade of Mayfield Village Police Department dispatch equipment by entering into an Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. as set forth below. NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT ORDAINED by the Council of Mayfield Village, County of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio: SECTION 1. The Mayor and President of Council are authorized and directed to enter into an Agreement with Motorola Solutions, Inc. as set forth in the ASTR025 System Upgrade Agreement with Maintenance Services, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A." SECTION 2. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
