J ORDINANCE NO.: 2016-19 INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING EXHIBIT "1" TO VILLAGE ORDINANCE NUMBER 2014-11 AS TO THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF/FIRE MARSHAL. WHEREAS, the position of Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal was established pursuant to Ordinance Number 2016-18 and was adopted by the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio; WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 2014-11 provides for wages, benefits, and other teens and conditions of employment for employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio; and WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all Village residents to specifically amend Exhibit "1" of Ordinance Number 2014-11 relative only to the position of the Village "Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: SECTION 1. That Exhibit "1" of Village Ordinance Number 2014-11 be amended as set forth in the document attached and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A." SECTION 2. The position of Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal is not eligible for overtime hours but shall receive a compensation bank similar to the position of the Fire Chief. SECTION 3. The pay range associated with the position of Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal shall be between $90,069.00 to $106,643.00 amiually. SECTION 4. All other provisions of the Village's Codified Ordinances not inconsistent herewith shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 5. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
