J <br />ORDINANCE NO.: 2016-19 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING EXHIBIT "1" TO VILLAGE ORDINANCE NUMBER 2014-11 <br />AS TO THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF/FIRE MARSHAL. <br />WHEREAS, the position of Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal was established pursuant to <br />Ordinance Number 2016-18 and was adopted by the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio; <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 2014-11 provides for wages, benefits, and other teens and <br />conditions of employment for employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been deemed in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of all <br />Village residents to specifically amend Exhibit "1" of Ordinance Number 2014-11 relative only to <br />the position of the Village "Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal." <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. That Exhibit "1" of Village Ordinance Number 2014-11 be amended as set <br />forth in the document attached and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A." <br />SECTION 2. The position of Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal is not eligible for overtime <br />hours but shall receive a compensation bank similar to the position of the Fire Chief. <br />SECTION 3. The pay range associated with the position of Assistant Fire Chief/Fire <br />Marshal shall be between $90,069.00 to $106,643.00 amiually. <br />SECTION 4. All other provisions of the Village's Codified Ordinances not inconsistent <br />herewith shall remain in full force and effect. <br />SECTION 5. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council <br />relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />
