<br />ORDINANCE NO. 2016-22 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Bodnar and Council as a Whole <br />' AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br />THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />TO ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />OHIO DEVELOPMENT SERVICES AGENCY <br />FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE THROUGH THE <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENT SAFETY CAPITAL GRANT PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, the State of Ohio through the Ohio Development Services Agency, administers <br />financial assistance for the purchasing of vehicles, equipment, facilities or systems for police, fire or <br />emergency medical services needed to enhance public safety, through the Local Government Safety <br />Capital Grant Program ("LGSC Grant Program"); and . <br />WHEREAS, Mayfield Village desires financial assistance under the LGSC Grant Program to <br />purchase two (2) MCC 7500 IP Dispatch Consoles for the Mayfield Village Police Department; and <br />WHEREAS, Council deems it necessary and in the best interest to the health, safety and welfare <br />of all Village residents to enter into a grant agreement with the Ohio Development Services Agency for <br />financial assistance through the LGSC Grant Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of the Mayfield Village approves entering into a grant agreement <br />with the Ohio Development Services Agency for financial assistance for vehicles, equipment, facilities or <br />systems for police, fire or emergency medical services needed to enhance public safety. <br />SECTION 2. The Village Mayor and Council President are hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into the grant agreement with the Ohio Development Services Agency that is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 3. The Council finds and determines that all formal actions of the Council relating <br />to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations <br />of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the <br />Ohio Revised Code. ~ <br />
