NORTHEAST OHIO REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT <br />RESOLUTION N0. 273-16 <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFF) FOR THE DESIGN-BUILD. <br />SERVICES FOR BEECHERS BROOK AND PEPPER-CREEK BANK STABILIZATION PROJECT, AND <br />TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO ASSIST, COORDINATE AND <br />FUND A PORTION OF THf= PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Beechers Brook and Pepper Creek Bank Stabilization Project {"the Project's will <br />stabilize a minimum of 700 linear feet of Beechers Brook stream bank in Mayfield Village and a <br />minimum of 350 linear feet of Pepper Creek stream bank in the City of Pepper Pike; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for design-build services for <br />the said Project; and <br />WHEREAS, vendor selection for such services is qualifications-based and requires proposals be <br />received in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code Chapter 153; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into an agreement with Mayfield Village to assist, <br />coordinate and fund a portion of the Project; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE NORTHEAST OHIO <br />REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT': <br />Sectian 1. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, this Board hereby authorizes <br />the Chief Executive Officer, at the request of the Director of Engineering and Construction, to <br />issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for design-build services for the Beechers Brook and Pepper <br />Creek Bank Stabilization Projec#. <br />Section 2. That this Board finds that the said Project is a necessary and proper public <br />improvement in that it will stabilize stream banks and protect adjacent residential infrastructure. <br />Section 3. T_ hat this Board hereby authorizes the Chie€ Executive Officer to evaluate .said <br />proposals and to make, a recommendation to this Board fvr award of a design-build contract in <br />accordance with the provisions of Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Cade. <br />Section 4.
