It was moved by Dr. 'ldaltz, seconded by Mr. Sloan, that the <br />Maintenance Permit of the Ohio Bell Telephone Company be renewed for the <br />year 1954. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan,Scheuring,0atess,Cass & Endress <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Swanson read a letter from the City of Mayfield Heights <br />regarcling a 12" water main proposed to be constructed on Ridgbury Boulevard, <br />from the Ridgbury Golf Course to diner Road~T which section is the common <br />boundary line between the City of Mayfield Heights and the Village of <br />Mayfield. The estimated cost of the same is ~2I~,000.00 which would be <br />divided:.equally between the two municipalities. The matter was referred <br />to the Solicitor to obtain more information from the Engineer and the <br />City of Mayfield Heights <br />Pdayor Swanson read a letter from Pdayor tiTills of Richmond Heights <br />requesting the Village•of Mayfield appoint a councilman to act as <br />Chairman of a Citizens Committee to Appose the extension of the County <br />Airport and to work with the Property Owners' Protective Association. <br />The matter was referred to the incoming administration for handling. <br />The Clerk pro tem read a letter from Mayor Swanson in apprec- <br />iation of the flowers sent by the Village Officials and the sympathies <br />extended to the Mayor upon the death of his late Wife, Mrs. Henrietta <br />Swanson. <br />Dr. Waltz introduced Resolution No. 2l~1 entitled: "A Resolution <br />Accepting the Amounts and Rates Determined by the Budget Commission <br />and Authorizing the Necessary Tax Levies and Certifying them to the <br />County Auditor", which Resolution was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Endress, seconded by ~~s. Cass, that the <br />rules of law requiring a Resolution to be read at three separate meetings <br />be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Scheuring, Oatess, Cass & Endress. <br />Nays - None, <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Dr. udaltz, seconded by Mr. Scheuring, that the <br />resolution be adopted as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Scheuring, Oatess, Cass & Endress. <br />Nays - None. <br />• Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Dr. Waltz introduced Ordinance No~`~55 entitled: "An Ordinance <br />to Provide for Transfer and Appropriation of Funds for Various Purposes <br />During the Year 1953", which Ordinance was read to Councilo <br />2. <br />
