It was moved by I'~r. Beard, seconded by ~~r. Strater, that the rules of <br />la:~r requiring a resolution be read. on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Calla Ayes - ~Zessrs Swanson, Strater, Taylor,Beard & Catess. <br />Nays - None. <br />I°lotion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by I~ir. Edeln~n was then asked by Council to ascertain the latest date <br />within wh_icYx we could sell our remaining ~p~.0,000 bond issue and what would <br />be needed as our share of the Highland Road project. <br />The subject of vacating I''Iaple Grove was again brought up and Ivlr. Edelman <br />read a letter from the county iri which they stated that a plat would have to <br />be filed and that it was not clear by law who•should stand this expense. It <br />eras moved by I~r. Beard, seconded by I'Ir. Taylor, that our Engineer prepare a <br />plat for the county on this vacated street. <br />Roll Ca]1a Ayes ~- ~'Iessrs Swanson, Strater, Taylor, Beard & Oatess. <br />• Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Mayor Endress read a letter from the Ohio Inspection Board, stating <br />that we would have to carry 1000 ft. of hose on our truck to be eligible for <br />class 8 rating and another stating that we had complied with this regulation <br />and that the inspection bureau was taking measures to correct their fire <br />rating for our village. P~. Porter stated that he had written a letter asking <br />for further clarification and at tirhat time we could hope for a publication <br />of this change in rate. <br />Another letter from ~~Zayor Ritter of ~~.yfield Heights was read to <br />Council, ~ which they took exception to House Bi11 No. ~ prohibiting the <br />crossing of county lines by sanitation trucks without the approval of the <br />County Corrmiissioners. Ivlayor Ritter asked that we write a similar letter. <br />It was moved by llr. Beard, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that the Clerk <br />be instructed to write our representatives and concur with IL7ayfield Heights <br />in this matter. <br />Ro7.1 Caua Ayes ® I~iessrs Stiranson, Strater, Taylor, Beard ~= Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />v~tion carried <br />A letter from Proctor Noyes asking that we subscribe to a report of <br />a comprehensive arterial highway system for metropolitan Cleveland at a <br />cost not to exceed ~1~.00 was tabled. <br />70 <br />
