NIr® Hoffman from Worton Park asked what could be done about having <br />a school bus on Worton Park~_now that it wa$ paved. l~~ayor Endress said that <br />th9.s was a School Board rr~.tter and should be taken up Vrith thus, but that <br />he was andex° the impression that as soon as Worton Park was paved, they <br />would give it service. <br />Mr. Porter than asked that Council take up the matter of Mr. Leppel- <br />mier's resignation from the Fire Bepartment, stating that the matter had been <br />- kicked around four several months and that Mr. Leppelmi.er was present and <br />still wishes to resign. Mr. Strater said that- he did not tai.sh to take action <br />until 'the Safety Committee had investigated the matter as they had been <br />ordered to. do. However, it was moved by Mr. Oatess, seconded by Mr. Bean.°d, <br />that Mr. Leppelmier's resignation be acceptede <br />Rom. Ca1,l.s Ayes - NIessrs Taylor, Beard and Oatess. _ <br />Nays -Mro Strater and T`~r. Swanson. <br />Motion failed. <br />Again Mr. Strater reiterated that this should be handled by the <br />Safety Committee first. Mr. Oatess said that the next step was to re- <br />activate the Safety ~o~.ttee, that the Architectural Board of which he was <br />a member had a meeting every month and the Safety Committee should, also. <br />It was moved by Mr. Strater, seconded by Mr. Stiaanson, that the <br />Safety Committee be reorganized; <br />Ro11 Calls Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Scaanson, Beard ~ Oatess. <br />_ Nays -None. <br />Motion carried <br />N'jayor Endress then presented Mr. Strater as chais7nan, NIr. Beard, <br />Mr. Schilling and Mr. Kingsbury to council for their approval. It was moved <br />by Mr. Taylor, seconded by NTr, Oatess, that these appointments to the <br />Safety Corranittee be approved. <br />Roll Ca11s Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Swanson, Beard & Oatess <br />Nays -None. <br />Motion carried <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter from Mr. Gallimore, recommending <br />that no further connections be made to the Mayfield Villa ge Sewer on SOM <br />Center Road and Wilson Mills Road until. completion of the Hilltop Sewer <br />Project.. Mr.. Swanson thought that, if SOIL and Wilson NIi11s tiaere frozen, Seneca <br />and Glenview should be treated the same. Mr. Demore explained that the sewage <br />in Glenview and Beneca did not affect the other two streets and could overflow <br />in a ditch and not into cellars, as on SOM and Wilson Mi17.s, <br />Imo Oatess; seconded by Mr. Beard, then introduced Orcli.nance No.~ 519 <br />entitled: "An Ordinance to Suspend the Granting of Permits for Construction <br />of New Buildings on Land Abutting Certain Parts of SOM Center Road and Wilson <br />Mills Road Until a New Sa2itary Sewer is Constructed and in Use", which <br />ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mro Sw~son, seconded by Mr. Strater, that the rules <br />of lava requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be <br />suspended <br />9• <br />
