R. W~ Lackey, principal <br />of the Mayfield High School, commending our police force on their excellent <br />assistance at their home footbal].'''games. Imo. Iaclzey said that their <br />assistance and friendly spirit and -the order maintained was vex°~r pleasing <br />to the school. <br />Mlayor Endress than asked for a .report -from•the Safety and Service <br />Committee. At this point, I~ir. Edelman turned over to the committee a <br />sample ordinance from Parma, relative to explosives, and asked that they <br />study this ordinance before adoptin; one for the vi]1age. Mr. Strater, <br />reporting for the Safety Committee, said that as there taas no business to <br />transact, the Safety Committee did not meet. <br />I`~r. Taylor, reporting for the Finance Committee, said that they <br />had not met, but would be meeting before the next Council meeting. Mr. <br />Taylor reported that the Cemetery Committee was also meeting before the next <br />Council meeting. <br />Mr. Swanson, reporting for the Zoning and Planning Commission, <br />stated that theca was nothing to report. <br />Mr. Oatess, reporting for the Building Committee, stated that he <br />had been i.n touch with all parties concerned relative to getting an easement <br />for closing the ditch east of the Town Ha1,1 and all were wiling to fu~^nish <br />any easement necessary to get things worked out. Oar Eng~.neer is to .give <br />,Mr. Edelman a proper description of the properties concerned and said that <br />it would probably be best to run the ditch on the line and get an easement <br />of ten f eet on either side of the ditch. <br />Mr. Edelman reported that he and our Engineer had checked the <br />Glenview Road water main petitions and`that t'ney were in order and referred <br />them to the Safety Committee, suggesting that we start thi's project right <br />after the first of the year. <br />Ous° Engineer reported that the H~.ghland Road Main had been <br />completed. <br />Mr. Strater, seconded by Mr. Beard, then introduced Nesolution <br />No. 307 entitled: "An Emergency Resolution Declaring the Necessity of 2. <br />
