Roll Call: Ayes - I`Iessrs Taylor,Beard,Strater,Oatess ~ Swanson & Brown Nays - None. Motion carried Resignation accepted Mayor Endress then recommended the appointment of Mrs. Eunice Brichacelz as Police Cleriz. It was anoved by Mr. Oatess, seconded by Mr. Strater, that this appointment be confirmed. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Taylor,Beard,Strater,Oatess,Swanson ~ Brown Nays - None. ' Motion carried Appointment confirmed Mra Arnold 1~Io Edelman, a Notary Public, then administered the Oath of Office to Mrs. Brichacek. Mayor Endress then read a letter from ~'~°. R. W~ Lackey, principal of the Mayfield High School, commending our police force on their excellent assistance at their home footbal].'''games. Imo. Iaclzey said that their assistance and friendly spirit and -the order maintained was vex°~r pleasing to the school. Mlayor Endress than asked for a .report -from•the Safety and Service Committee. At this point, I~ir. Edelman turned over to the committee a sample ordinance from Parma, relative to explosives, and asked that they study this ordinance before adoptin; one for the vi]1age. Mr. Strater, reporting for the Safety Committee, said that as there taas no business to transact, the Safety Committee did not meet. I`~r. Taylor, reporting for the Finance Committee, said that they had not met, but would be meeting before the next Council meeting. Mr. Taylor reported that the Cemetery Committee was also meeting before the next Council meeting. Mr. Swanson, reporting for the Zoning and Planning Commission, stated that theca was nothing to report. Mr. Oatess, reporting for the Building Committee, stated that he had been i.n touch with all parties concerned relative to getting an easement for closing the ditch east of the Town Ha1,1 and all were wiling to fu~^nish any easement necessary to get things worked out. Oar Eng~.neer is to .give ,Mr. Edelman a proper description of the properties concerned and said that it would probably be best to run the ditch on the line and get an easement of ten f eet on either side of the ditch. Mr. Edelman reported that he and our Engineer had checked the Glenview Road water main petitions and`that t'ney were in order and referred them to the Safety Committee, suggesting that we start thi's project right after the first of the year. Ous° Engineer reported that the H~.ghland Road Main had been completed.
