1 <br />Minutes oi^ a Special Meeting <br />Held August ?e 1950 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met at tho Tot~an Hall <br />in a Special. Meeting, duly called, pursuant to tivritten notice, given to <br />all Counci~.on, ox: the ?th day of August, 1950, at 8 0°clock P. M.s <br />Mayor Gustave Swa~lson presicling• <br />Roll Ca11s Proseni~ Messrs Hardman, Scheuring, Taylor, Godfrey <br />. and Hall. . <br />Absent - Mrs® Cassv <br />In the absence of the Clerk; Mre Edelma'~, the Solicitor, was <br />designated by Council as acting Clerk for this meeting. <br />_ Mr. Ede]snan reported that, following the adoption of Resolution <br />No. 169, the County Auditor of Cuyahoga County has c®rtif'jod that the <br />average annual lovy throughout tho life of bonds in the amount of X80,000.00, <br />to be issued for the purpose of provi..ding the Village portion of the cost <br />of constructing water mains, assuming that tho bonds are all issued in <br />one series, and that the amount of the tax duplicate of said Village <br />remains the same throughout the life of saa.d bonds as the amount of tho <br />tax duplicate for the current year, would be 2.8202mi11s for each one <br />dollar of valuation, which amounts to 28.202 cents for each one hundred <br />dollars of va].uation~ but ~thi.s:~:ass.s,of course, that all of the bonds <br />would be issued at one tim®. <br />1Nhereupon Mr. Hardman introduced Resolution Idom 1?0 entitled: <br />"An Emergency Resolution Determining to Proceod with the Issuing of Bonds <br />for the Purpose of Prova.ding the Village of Mayfield4 s Portion of the Cost <br />of Coi~structiTlg Water Mai.ris i;: Certain Streets ixa the Village oz" hayfield, <br />and to Submit the Issue to tho Electors at tho Novemb®r 7th, 1950, General <br />Election", which Resolution was road to Council® <br />A Motion was made by Mr. Hardman, seconded by Mr. Hall, that <br />tho rules of law requiring a Resolution to be read at three separate <br />meotings be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes- Messrs Hardman, Scheuring, Taylor,Godfrey ~ Hall <br />Nays s.-.None, ._ . <br />._ Lotion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />A Motion was mad® by Mra Godfrey, seconded by Mr. Scheuring, <br />that Resolution Noo 1?0 be adopted as read. <br />Ro11 Ca11: Ayos -Messrs Hardman,Scheuring,Taylor,Godfrey & Ha11e <br />mays -None. __ . <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />
