It was moved by Mr. Godfa-ey, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that Special Mo®ting be held August 13, 1951, for act~.on on such bids as may be recei~d for th® installation of .water mains. Motion Carried Dr. Siplovk_r®ported for tho Village Planning Board concerning th® plat submitt®d by G®orge Zorn and recommer-ded that in accordance with th® suggestion of th® Regional Planning C ~nmission, the plan b® appr®4ed in principle, subject to the installation of across-street. It was moved by Mr. Taylor, s®conded by Mrs. Cass, that th® plat submitted by Mr. Zorn be approved, subject to the f®regoing reco~amendation, nam®ly th® provision for afifty-foot styeat r4xnning Noa°bh and South across the full width of the property in approx~sately th® center of the subdivision. Motion Carried Mayor Swanson raised th® question of salaries for Village officials dua°~.ng 1952-53, sta3~3ng, howev®r, that h® did not b®Ii®ve that a rais® ~+ras justified for any ®leat®d offscial of the village. ~°® Taylor stated that salaries of all officials other than Council should be increas®d. Aft®r a general discussion Mro Godfrey introduc®d Ordinance No. 380 entitled: "An Ordinanc® Establishing Comp®nsation and Bond for Councilor®n and Elected Officials of the Village of Mayfield°t, which Ordinance was read to Council. It was moved by Mr'® Scheuring, seconded by Mrs. Cass, ghat th® rules of law requiring th® Ordinance to b® read at thre® separate occasions be suspended. Mayor Swanson recomm®nded that'an additional levy of 2 or 3 mills b® submitted to th® voters at the Village elections, stating that he uses positive the Village could get along with an additional 2 mills. Upop. inquiry, the Clerk advised_ Council thate based upon experience so far this y®ar, a 3 mill levy would b® required to operate the Village at the current rate of expenditure. The Clerk called the attention of Council to th® altersaate budget pr®pared by him which would require no .additional levy. 2.
