It was moved by Mr. Godfa-ey, seconded by Mr. Taylor, that <br />Special Mo®ting be held August 13, 1951, for act~.on on such bids as may be <br />recei~d for th® installation of .water mains. <br />Roll Call: Ayes -Messrs Scheuring, Taylor, Godfrey,Cass 8e Hall. <br />Nays -None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Dr. Siplovk_r®ported for tho Village Planning Board concerning <br />th® plat submitt®d by G®orge Zorn and recommer-ded that in accordance with <br />th® suggestion of th® Regional Planning C ~nmission, the plan b® appr®4ed <br />in principle, subject to the installation of across-street. It was moved <br />by Mr. Taylor, s®conded by Mrs. Cass, that th® plat submitted by Mr. Zorn <br />be approved, subject to the f®regoing reco~amendation, nam®ly th® provision <br />for afifty-foot styeat r4xnning Noa°bh and South across the full width <br />of the property in approx~sately th® center of the subdivision. <br />Roll Call: Ayes -Messrs 'Scheuring, Tayloi°, Godfrey,Cass & Hall <br />Nays - Nond. <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Swanson raised th® question of salaries for Village officials <br />dua°~.ng 1952-53, sta3~3ng, howev®r, that h® did not b®Ii®ve that a rais® ~+ras <br />justified for any ®leat®d offscial of the village. ~°® Taylor stated <br />that salaries of all officials other than Council should be increas®d. <br />Aft®r a general discussion Mro Godfrey introduc®d Ordinance No. 380 entitled: <br />"An Ordinanc® Establishing Comp®nsation and Bond for Councilor®n and Elected <br />Officials of the Village of Mayfield°t, which Ordinance was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr'® Scheuring, seconded by Mrs. Cass, ghat th® rules of law <br />requiring th® Ordinance to b® read at thre® separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Caul: .Ayes, Messrs Scheuring, Taylor~Goclfrey,Cass and Hall <br />Nays -Non®. ~ . <br />Motion Carried <br />Rul® Suspend®d ° <br />It was moved by Mrs. Cass, secondod by Mr. Scheuring, that Ordinance <br />No. 380 be passed as read. -, <br />Roll Call: Ayes- Messrs Scheuring,Godfrey,Cass and Hall <br />' Nays - Taylor_ ~. . <br />Motion Carrie d <br />ra...a ~ ,_.::;; :, _,~ Ord~az~c®=~-1'assed. <br />Mayor Swanson recomm®nded that'an additional levy of 2 or 3 mills <br />b® submitted to th® voters at the Village elections, stating that he uses <br />positive the Village could get along with an additional 2 mills. Upop. <br />inquiry, the Clerk advised_ Council thate based upon experience so far this <br />y®ar, a 3 mill levy would b® required to operate the Village at the current <br />rate of expenditure. The Clerk called the attention of Council to th® <br />altersaate budget pr®pared by him which would require no .additional levy. <br />2. <br />
