A letter from East Ohio Gas Company, .requesting approval of the <br />proposed construction of gas main and service between the sidewalk and <br />curb on the north side of Glenview Road vrest of Beech Hi11 Rd. was read <br />by the Mayor. _ <br />It was moved by NIr. Sloan, seconded by Dr. Waltz, that permission <br />be granted to The East Ohio Gas Company to proceed with the gas main <br />according to the proposed plan. <br />- - Ayes <br />Roll Cal-l s~~dessrs VValtz,~ SloanaEndress,Scheuring,Ca,ss & 4atess. <br />Nays -None <br />I+~otion Carried <br />Mayor Swanson read a letter of resignation, effective March 31st, 1952, from <br />Patrolman Harry Patterson. <br />It was moved by Mr. Oatess, seconded by Dr. 'Maltz, that. Mr. <br />Pattersonts_resignation ~be accepted. _ <br />Roll Calls Ayes -Messrs Waltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass €c Oatess <br />Nays -None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resignation Accepted <br />Mayor Swanson read the minutes of the Safety Committee meeting <br />held on March 8th, 1952. At this point the meeting was thrown open for <br />discussion. <br />Mr. A.2etV~aster was brought into the meeting. He said he~would <br />accept the position of full-time policeman if the pay was increased to <br />X300.00 per month. <br />It was moved by lair. Sloan, seconded by Dr. ZA~altz, that Council <br />hold a special meeti~sg march 24th, 1952, to d®cide the entire matter of the <br />Police Department. <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Pliessrs Waltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass 8c Oatess <br />. Tday s -Non©® <br />iVIotion Carried <br />.Plans for the home of l~r._Bixler on Seneca Road were presented <br />to Council, since the Architectural Board of Review had voted the plan <br />doVrn by a 2 - 1 vote, due to the size of the frond bedroom windows, Council <br />requested -that the Mayor recommend to the Architectural Boa rd of Review <br />that they reverse their decision on these plans. <br />Mr. Gallimore entered the meeting. He reported that work on the <br />Wilson 1~i11s water main will be started by the first of April. He. was not <br />able to report on the proposed plan for sewage disposal, as the meeting was <br />held at the City Hall and this vas not lmovrn to those concerned® <br />4. <br />
