Sloan,-Endres, Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays - None, <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mro Wieland reported that the Traffic Light at .the .corner seemed to <br />be exceptionally high,. and it was very difficult_to replace bulbs without the <br />proper equipment. It was suggested by Council that the Illuminating Company <br />be contacted to see if they would service the light whenever necessary for <br />a nominal charge. <br />Mr. Taylor and Mr. Hodgson•were present at.the meeting. On behalf <br />of the Council and himself, Mayor.Swanson thanked. these two men for a very <br />excellent. job i.n preparing and. distributing the literature in regard to the <br />!~ mill levy. Mr. Hodgson stated. that: the Civic. Club was not-permitted to <br />take part. in political campaigns, and therefore he and Mr. Taylor, together <br />with Mr. Uhler, Mr. Oatess, Chief Dixon, and Mr. Wieland, distribute the <br />literature. Mr. Uhler made up one of these notices, and therefore Mr, <br />Hodgson asked that a special letter of thanks be sent to nor. Uhler for an <br />excellent. job well done.. <br />The subject of the .Skating .Rink for. the Village was again brought up. <br />The insurance coverage takes care of a skating rink on the property, and if <br />the location of the rink could be leased from Mrs. Van Curers, it could then <br />be considered Village. property, with no..].iabilaty on the part of Mrs ® Van Curers. <br />Mr. Sloan introduced Ordinance No. I~22 ~ entitled~< <~An Ordinance to <br />Lease Certain Premises From Lucretia Van Curers For Purpose of Operating an <br />Tce Skating Rink", which Ordinance was read to Council, <br />3. <br />
