After some discussion Council. agreed that, since property owners
are assessed for sidewalks on their property, and most of the people who
would benefit from a sidewalk on Wilson Mills Road are at present burdened
to the hilt with the installation of city water, it was wise to wait until
these people petitioned or made a special request for a sidewalk.
Mr. tiYieland reported on the matter of transferring the present
equipment from the old service truck to the new one. It will cost X120.00
to make the transfer of the old equipment and snow plow, which is not
hydraulically operated. A Power-I~ydraulic Lift for the plow-would run
$135.00, plus X12.50 for mounting.
It was moved by Mr. Endress,.seconded by Mr. Scheuring, to purchase
the Hydraulic Equipment at a pride not to exceed X207.50.
Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Endress, Scheuring,Cass & Oatess.
• Nays - None.
Motion Cara ied
• The passing. of Ordinance No. l~08 ( increasing minimum front footage
from 75 to 1001) was intended to primarily control the future development
of new allotments, however in some cases it is affecting property owners
who had purchased a large lot and then divided it into two, tivith a frontage
of over 75' for each. The present exception applies only.ao separate
numbered lots.
Mr. Edelman read a portion of the Zoning Ordinance regarding
hardship cases, which the above mentioned could be considered. Property
owners having a situation like this can refer their cases to the Zoning
Committee for approval.
The Clerk reported on the services of a company to service the
Traffic Light, which would run approximately ~1C~.00 per month. Council
felt this was too expensive, and heighth of the Traffic Light can probab],p
be remedied by the Illuminating Companyb
Mr. Danner was recognized by the Mayor. He reported that he had
attended a special meeting regarding the matter of the new sewage districts.
It is very important that the present situation be remedied as soon as
possible. The County is undertaking the project as a matter of expediency.
If the opportunity is not taken advantage of, it is possible for the State
to fine a Municipality as high as $500.00 per day until connection is made
and the situation taken care of, it was stated by ~. Danner.
The following reports were given:
Report from Mayor's Court
From Oct. 20 to Nov. 17.
There were 73 traffic violations handled and the amount
of ~866.l~0' were collectede There are fou~° more fines
being paid through The Cleveland Automobile Club, which
are not in yet.
Mayor Gustav Swanson.
2.
