With the present road bed as it is,
the fire plugs would come in the center of the road; therefore it is necessary
first to proceed with the changing of the road. At the regular meeting on
June 15, 1953, several bids for doing this work were received. Mr. Robert
Linich bid X800.00 to remove the trees and grade the road, with an additional
X800.00 for removing the slag. The meeting was opened for discussion.
This discussion revealed that it would probably be less expensive
for the Village to obtain the slag, haul it in the truck and fill the road
bed.
dlr. Endress introduced Ordinance No. I~43 entitled "An Ordinance
Accepting the Bid of Robert Linich d.b.a. L. & L.
