The mayor read a letter from the Cuyahoga County Mayor's <br />Association regarding the advisability of joining the Ohio Municipal <br />League. Dr. Waltz introduced Ordinance No. l~35 entitled: "An Ordinance <br />Authorizing the Securing of rllembership in The Ohio Municipal League for <br />the Village of Mayfield and the Payment of Dues for Such Purpose", which <br />ordinance was read to Council, <br />It vras moved by Mr. Endress, seconded by Imo. Sloan, that the <br />rules of l.aw requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />• Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Isgr. Seheuring, seconded by 1!Irs. Cass, that the <br />Ordinance be passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - UValtz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. <br />Tdays - None. <br />Lotion Carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Tnkley of the Aetna Casualty & Surety Co. reported on the <br />steps necessary to be taken in order to reduce fire insurance rates. He <br />said that property owners should be able to get 50~ reduction in rates <br />in the area where city water i.s available. The Clerk was directed to <br />write a letter to ~. Roy E. Julian of the Ohio Inspection Bureau in <br />Columbus t® find out what needs to be done and whether a low pressure <br />pumper is required. P <br />Fire Chief Porter said that he has a chance to obtain a low <br />pressure pump for the fire truck for betv~reen X150.00 and X200.00 but <br />that 700 feet. more of fire hose wottild be required. This would meet the <br />underwriter's test for lower fire insurance rates. It was decided to <br />await the Clerk's return to ascertain whether funds are available irr <br />the building equipment and maintenance fund. <br />Ordinance No. x:36 entitled: "An Emergency Ordinance to Levy <br />Special Assessments for the Improvement o~f V~ilson Tiills Road from the <br />West Corporation Line of Mayfield Village to the Westerly Line of Echo Drive <br />in N~yfield Village by the Construction of a Water Main Therein", was <br />introduced by Dr. Waltz and read to Council. It was moved by Dr. Waltz, <br />seconded by Mrs. Cass, that the rules of law requiring an Ordinance to <br />be read on three separate occasions be. suspended. <br />Roll Cal.].: Ayes- Waltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It ro~ras moved by Mr. Endress, seconded by Tyr.
