Mr. Edelman reported that Dr. McKay was again advertising for bids <br />on the ~91~,000.00 bonds in the Cleveland News, and that they would be <br />opened on September 9th, 1953, at 12:00 o'clock noon at Mr. Edelmants <br />office. There should be a special meeting of Council that evening or <br />very soon after to vote on the bids received. <br />It was moved by Dr. ~ilialtz, seconded by Mr. Oatess, that Council <br />meet in special meeting on the evening of September 9th, 1953, at 8:00 <br />P. M. at the Oillage Hall to consider the bids, <br />Roll Calls Ayes --~Paltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring, Oatess. <br />Nays - None. " <br />" Motion Carried <br />Mr. Edelman reported on the status of the various water main <br />issues. S.O.M. Road Section #3, and b'~Torton Park Drive are now ready for <br />e:®ntracts-to be let. Bonnieview is still in the process of being served <br />notices, and after County residents have been. notified, the other property <br />owners wi7.]. be notified by publication in The South"Euclid Messenger for <br />two weekso There is then a 21 day waiting period for any objections to <br />be filed. <br />Seneca Road cannot fall under the legal limitations until after <br />th.e next tax duplicate, but service on the property owners can be started <br />any time, in order to be ready when the funds are available. <br />Discussion followed whether or not to wait for Bonnieview Road <br />before advertising for bids for contracts for S.O.b2. Sec. 3 and Worton <br />Park Drive. It was felt the two should not be held up ar~y~ longer as <br />long as they were now ready. <br />Mr. Sloan introduced Ordinance No. ~5 entitled: "An Emergency <br />Ordinance Determining to Proceed with the Improvement of S.O:M. Center <br />Road in the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, Starting at the North End of the <br />Ex;.sting Water L4ain now Located in S.O.M. Center Road and Extending <br />Northerly About 1801 Feet, But to the South Line of a 22 Acre Parcel of <br />Land Now or Formerly armed by Jessie H. Worts, Being Approximately 2257 <br />Feet North From the Center Line of Wilson Mills Road, By the Construction <br />of a Water Main and Appurtenances Therein~~, which Ordinance was read to <br />Council. <br />It eras moved by Mr. Endress, seconded by Mr. Oatess, that the <br />rules of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions <br />be suspended. <br />Roll Call; Ayes- Waltz, Endress, Sloan, Scheuring, Oatess. <br />Nays- None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Scheuring, seconded by Mr. Endress, that <br />Ordinance No. l~lt5 be passed as read, <br />2. <br />
