„ Minutes of the Regular Nleeting <br />Apri1 20th, 1959 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in open meeting at the Town <br />Hall at.8;00:P. M..,..Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Roll Ca11e Present - Messrs. Wedler, Strater, Zorn and Hopkinso <br />r. kbsent_.-.Messrs,., Grootegoed_.and BroUm. <br />The Miriutes of the Regul.ar Meeting of March 16th, 1959, were then read <br />to the Council. It was moved by Mr. Hopkins, seconded by Mr. Wedler, that the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />^Roll CaJ.la Ayes - Messrs Wedler, Strater, 'orn and Hopkins. Nays - None. , - <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes approved. <br />The Minutes of the Special Meeting of Apri1 6th, 1959, were then read <br />to Council. It was moved by Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mr. Strater, that the minutes <br />of'the Special Meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Ca1.1.: Ayes - Messrs Wedler9 Strater, Zorn and Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes approved <br />Mr. Hbpkins, reporting for the Building Committee, said that one of the <br />daors of the Fire Station had been fixeds It had been hoped that the Firemen <br />would pay half the cost of this repair9 which was to be $100.00 per door' but <br />Mr. .Porter reported that the Firernen felt that this was a x°espbnsibility that <br />the Village should assume. As the entire cost of $100.00 had been charged to <br />the Vill'age.? there was some discussion in Council with the Finance Committee <br />an the mattere Mr. Hopkins felt that this was a responsibi.lity of the Village <br />and moved, seconded b,y Mr. S trater, that the other two doors be fixed also.e <br />Ro11. Call ; Ayes -Messr.s Wedler, 5trater, Zorn and Hopkinso <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Hopkins then discussed with Council the possibility of putting tile <br />on the ToVm Hall floors in the same manner as the offices. Mr. Hopkins spoke <br />at length of the sad condition of the floors and the f act that,it was impossible <br />to mop without having water leak into the lower floor level. NTr. Hopkins said <br />that there were quantities of valuable tools that could be damaged, to say <br />not.hing of the ceilings and other equipment. There was some discussion in. <br />Council on this matter which would cost around $800,00. It was finally .-, <br />decided to table the matter until the next meeting. _ l. <br />
