It was moved by Mr. Grootegoed, seconded by Mr. Strater, that Ordinance <br />NQe 663 be approved and passe.d as read. _ <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedler'Strater,Browm'Grootegoed & Hopkins <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance Passedo <br />It was then aslted what should be done about assessing corner lots. Mr. <br />Strater said that we shou7d have a defini.te rulE on what_was to _be expect,ed. <br />There was a-great deal of discugsion in Council on.this subject, but na <br />definite conclusion was reached as to assessments in the futux°e. <br />A letter was then read fram the City of Cleveland on an increase in <br />gas rates. As Cleveland is fightting this i.ncrease, they asked thati we _share <br />in the cost and not sign a Rate Ordinance befox°e the City of Cleve3.and did. <br />,Mr. Hopkinss secor,ded by Mr. Zorn, then introd.uced Resolution No. 448' <br />enta.tled: It A Resolutiora Agr2eing to 3'ay a Prarated Share of the Cost and <br />Expenses in Connectian with Negotiations arad Investigations on the Proposed <br />Increase in Rates to be Charged by the East Ohio Gas Company"9 wh3.ch resolution <br />was read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Hopldns., seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that the rules <br />of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />. Roll Call: Ayes.- Messrs Zorn,T,ded].er,Strater,Broban.,Grootegoed & Hopkins. <br />Nays - Noae. , Mota.on carried <br />Rul.es Suspended <br />_ It was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that Resolution <br />No. 448 be approved and passeci as read. Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />A letter taas then read from the Solicitor of Cleveland Heights asking <br />that we share.in the cost of the fight against the increase in sewer rates as <br />proposed by the City of Clevelando <br />Mr. Hopkins, seconded by Mrso Brown, then i.ntroduced Resolution,No. 449 <br />entitled: 14 A. Resolution Agreeing to Pay a Prorated Share of the Costs and <br />Fxpenses in Connection with Negotiatians on the Court Action on Sewage Rates <br />Proposed to be Charged by the City of Cleveland"' which resolution was read <br />to Counci.fi,. _ It was mov+ed by Ylr m Groategoed, second.ed by Mr,. Zorn, that the rules of <br />law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended.e <br />7.
