Roll Call: Ayes - Zorn, Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Pay Ordinance Passed <br />Mayor Endress then appointed Patrolman Charles L. Litman as Sergeant <br />of Poliee. Mayor Endress said that Mr. Litman had been with us a year and as <br />far as he could f ind out his"work was entirely satisfactory; that he had checked <br />with people in the community and found that he was we11 liked and trusted. It was moved by Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that this appointment <br />be approved. Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler9Bennett,Bsown,Grootegoed & Belzere <br />Naqs- None. <br />Motion earried <br />Appointment Approved <br />Mr. Arnold M. Edelman, a Notary Public, administered the Oath of Off ice <br />to Sergeant Litman, <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter f rom Albert S. Porter, County Engineer, <br />acknowledging receipt of our Resolution Noa 474, and saying that the County <br />could not_do anything about Ridgebury unless Highland.Heights, Lyndhurst and <br />Mayf'ield Heights sent concurring resolutions. Mayor Endress read another letter from Mayor Frantz, thanking,us £or <br />our help during an armed robbery on July 29, 1960. <br />Mayor Endress read 'another letter f rom ArnoTd Edelman with reference <br />to the debt li.mit and Worton Park. <br />Mr. Peterson then suUmitted a breakdocan on the two areas of Worton <br />Park,,showing the village sha,re of the cost, as 'follows: ' <br />Area one for 2% and intersection oF Hemingway $1,591.00. Area Two, <br />North Woodlane $6,620m00; Norman Lane $1,221,00; S. Woodlane $1,221.00; <br />Woodlane and Norman I.ane $971.00; a Total of $12,845.00. <br />Mayor Endress then remarked that our next meeting was September 19, <br />1960, and he would be unable to attend and wondered iE a meeting could be <br />held at an earlier date. Council then set the regular meeting in September <br />for Wednesday, September 14, 1960, at 8:00 P. M. at the Town Ha11m <br />Mayf ield Fire Department Report <br />Aug. 15,1960 ' <br />July 13, 1960,. at.10:12 A.M. Worton Pas.k Dr, ' Fire in garage. <br />July 29, 1960, at 11:30 A.M.
