It was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that Ordinance <br />Noe 715 be approved and passed as read, as amended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes..- Nlessrs Zorn,Wedler.,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />NIotion carried <br />Ordinance passed <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter from i:he blayf ield Village Community <br />Club, enclosing a check for a;new vacuum cleaner for the Town Hall. This check <br />was in Lhe amount of $71.93> The Clerk was asked to write a letter, thanking <br />the club f or this gif t. <br />hlayor Endress then read a letter from Albert S. Porter, County,Engineer, <br />asking that we notify the maintenance department to refrain from using salt <br />or other chlorides on our new road and substi,tute some other.form of abrasives< <br />In another letter from I?Ir. Porter, acknowledging our Ordinance No. 716, giving <br />permission for the removal of snow and ice and adding Ridgebury Boulevard to <br />these streets, Mr. Porter said that County policy pertained to through streets <br />and that they did not have sufficient money to remove snow and ice f rom Ridgebury. <br />Mayor Endress then aslced Mr. Wieland for a report on the dwelling house <br />code, which Mr. [d.ieland was to have looked over, Mr. Wieland said that he had <br />looked this cocie over, bui we would still have to go through the state, bia}Tor <br />Endress then asked Mr. Wieland what code we should adopt, the regional planning <br />code, the Cleveland Code, or the State Code. Mr. Peterson said he thought the <br />State Code was the best, bui: Mrs. Brown said that she had talked with Mr. Dummont <br />and the City Code was more strict, that it had everything, Mr. Dummont then <br />said that things were hard to find in the Cleveland Code, but it gave us the <br />most protection. Mr. Edelman said that the Regional Code.Eaas more adaptable to <br />Village needs. Mr. Peterson said he thought that we should adopt the State <br />Code, as we had to have State Approval so both Codes would be the same. <br />Mayor Endress then appointed a Comcnittee of Pdrs, Brown, Mr. Belzer, <br />and Mr. to study these codes and recommend what Code cae should accept. <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter from Mr. Edelman regarding the <br />selection of inembers to the Volunteer Firemen°s Dependent Fund, ti1rs. Brown <br />and Mr. Bennett were then nominated ior this off ice. It was moved by Mr. <br />Wedler, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that nominations be closed. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Blessrs Zorn,:Jedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - Noneo , <br />tYotion carried. <br />Mrs. Brown and Mr. Bennett were then elected to ser.ve as Councilmanic <br />members of the Volunteer Firemen's Dependent Pund. Mayor Endress then read a letter f rom the Nlayfield School District, <br />thanking everyone for the generous support of their levy. <br />2.
