Mayor Endress then reported that Ordinance No. 721, which has been <br />placed on its second reading, was the next order of business. Mr. Edelman <br />again read this ordinance to Council, Mr. Edelman stated at this time that <br />he found one typographical error which he had changed; that Section 8 A <br />should be Section 8.1.Mr. Edelman also read the portion requiring a performance <br />bond and noted that the emergency clause had been deleted. <br />It was then moved by Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mr. Wedler, that these <br />amendments in the ordinance as read be made. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Niotion carried <br />Mr. Edelman then read Ordinance No. 721 to Council, as amended. <br />Mayor Endress then read a resolution received from the Mayf ield Residential <br />Association. Mayor Endress also reported that the Clerk had received petitions <br />from various people in the Village to the number of 345 saying that they were <br />against High Rise Apartments; that these signatures had been broken down to <br />property owners, which left !-"- signatures; -that he had also received signatures <br />from 202 signers, one to a home in favor of High Rise Apartments. He also <br />pointed out for Council's consideration that of these signatures 13 signed both <br />for and against. <br />Mr. Wellman then said that he had 129 more names against this ordinance, <br />made up of 75 homes. Mr. Edelman zaas then aslced and explained to the spectators <br />the proceedure for an initiative election. <br />It was then moved by Mr. Wedler, seconded by Mr. Bennett, that Ordinance <br />No. 721 be approved and passed as read as amended, <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett and Grootegoed. <br />Nays - Messrs Brown and Belzer. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinance passed <br />Mr. Edelman then read an ordinance permitting High Rise Apartments in <br />certain sections within the Village. <br />Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mr. Wedler, then introduced Ordinance No. 730, <br />entitled: "An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Ordinance o£ the Village-of Mayfield <br />by Transferring Certain Property on the North Side of Wilson Mi11s Road to <br />A Class U-3AA Use District ( Restricted Multi-Story Apartment House)", which <br />ordinance was read to Council. <br />This ordinance was then placed upon its first reading. <br />There being no f urther business to come before Council, upon motion made <br />and duly put, Council adjourned. <br />Attest: <br />.? <br />(Sea ) ----- --C1 c <br />. ? <br />hV <br />?
