< < < < <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />April 17, 1961 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayf ield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding. Roll Call: Present - Messrs Zorn9Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzero <br />. ` Also Mr. Peterson, Engineer. <br />Absent - Nbne, The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 20, 1961, were then read to <br />Council. Tt was move8 by M'rs. Brown, seconded by Mro Wedler, that the Minutes <br />of the Regular Meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Calla Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzere <br />Nays - None. <br />' Motion carried <br />? • Minutes approved. <br />Mrse Brown, reporting for the Architectural Board, said that they had <br />met and approved plans for two new homes and two additions. Mrs. Brown also <br />reported that the plans for the"store building.on.SOM Road were not approvedo <br />? <br />Mrs. Brown, in reporting for'the Health and Welfare Board, said that <br />they had run into a very unf ortunate situation and asked Mr. Bennett to read <br />the minutes of their ineetin`g. Mr. `Bennett` then told Council that the Art <br />Craft Company had asked that the Village pay an dld bill dating back to <br />November of 1960 and covering the purchase of ceramic tiles for Art purposes. <br />This bill, amounting to some $298.00 had been charged over a period of time <br />and it.developed that these tiles were used to supply an adult Art Class <br />given by the Mayfield Board of Education and taught tiy Mrs. Bardou. As this <br />charge came about through the Village spottsorship.of the MayEield recreational <br />Committee, Mr. Bennett stated that it was` the recommendation of the Health _ <br />and Welfare Board that the Village have no further connection with this Committee. Art Craft Co. and Mrs. Bardou are to be advised that this is not <br />the bi11 of the Villageo <br />Mr`. Bennett, then reportitxg for the'Building Committee, said that the <br />job of painting the f ire station had developed`into a bigger job than expected. <br />Mr. Bennett said that there were a lot of doors and windows 'and with two,_colors <br />the, work did not progress as anticipated, that it would take about 30 additional <br />hours to complete thc work; <br />It was then moved by Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that the Fire <br />Department members be allowed 40 additional hours compensation to complete <br />this work. <br />,. . . <br />1.
