\ <br />Wheatcroft was a qualified person f or this position. It was then moved by <br />Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that this appointment be approved, f or the <br />usual six-month probationery period. <br />. Roll Calla Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grpotegoed,.& Belzero <br />Nays - None. ? ? , . . Motion carried <br />. Appointment Approved <br />Mr. EdelmqLn; a Notary ,Public9 then adpninistered the Oath of Office to <br />Mr. Wheatcroft. Mayor Endress remarlced at this point that the Police Department <br />would have a busy calendar by May lst, 1961. <br />Mr. Grootegoed, reporting for the Committee appointed to look into the <br />drainage situation on the Coffee property, said that he had secured a skilled <br />drainage expert f rom Mesopotamia and had gone over the situation with him at <br />the Coffee propert?y - that there were two ways to handle the problem and that <br />Mr. Coffee and Mra9Zoirn have a mutual agreement to settle. Mr. Coffee said <br />that he appreciated having Mr. Grootegoed_on this Committee; that he.:had taken <br />care of the situation and they knew where they were going. Mr. Coffee said <br />that they needed some,driveway pipe,lowereq which would allow the water to <br />drain both ways. Mayor Endress then thanked Mr. Grootegoed f or the able <br />handling of this difficult problemo <br />` Mayor Endress then read a letter f rom Mr. Richard E. Burney, thanking <br />Mr. Gould and Mr. Porter f or coming to his aid during a coronary attack. <br />Mayor Endress then reported that he had received petitions f or water <br />mains from t4e,residents.of Worton Park Subdivision No. 2a Mayor Endress <br />explained.that they coulo-get water by signing agreements to pay their Sewer <br />Bill which would be held in escrow until such a time as a sewer was installede <br />Mr. Edelman then read the water contract from the City of Cleveland. <br />, . , ._.. ,.. . . <br />Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mrs. Brown, then introduced Resolution No. 493 <br />entitled:- "A Resolution Approving an Agreement Between the City of Cleveland <br />and Owners of Certain Property in the Worton Park Subdivision", which resolution <br />was read to Council: <br />? - ? - • <br />It was moved by Mrs. Brown9=seconded by Mr. Grootegoed, that the rules <br />of law requiring a resolufi ion to be read on three.separate occasioris'be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays,- None., ? , . Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />- < < < < It was moved by Mr. Grootegoed, seconded by Mrs. Brown, that Resolution <br />No. 493 be approved and passed as read. <br />3.
