Mayor Endress then adjourned Council to caucus and see if the dead-
<br />lock could not be broken. Council was again called to order at 9t15 P. M.
<br />Mayor Endress called f or another voteo Mre, Wedler, f or Mr. Zorn, N[r. Bennett
<br />f or Mr. Belzer, Mr. Mason for Mra $elzer, Mr. Sloan f or Mr. Belzer and Mr.
<br />Belzer for Mr.Belzer . Mro Belzer, with sufficient votes, was then elected
<br />President of Council, Pro-teme Mr. Edelman, a Notary Publicg then adminis-
<br />tered the Oath of Office to Mr. Belzer.
<br />Mayor Endress then remarked he had_been given a copy of correspondence
<br />from Mr. Edelman last week and now appointed Mr. Arnold M. Edelman as Solicitor
<br />as per the fee schedule,outlinf-d by himP Mr. Edelman then read the ordinance
<br />providing legal counsel for the Village of Mayfield for the next two, yearso Niro
<br />Wedlere seconded by Mr. Sloan, then introduced Ordinance No. 751, entitled;
<br />"An Ordinance Providing f.or the ?lmployment of Legal Counsel for the Village of
<br />MayEield", which ordinance was read to Councile
<br />It was moved by Mr. Weiiler, seconded by Mra Sloan, that the rules of law
<br />requiring ap ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspendede

<br />Mayor Endress said that he had received a note from our Engineere Mra
<br />Peterson, that it,would,be in order to continue at the present schedule until
<br />the budget meeting at which time a schedule could be arrangeda
<br />Mro Mason, seconded by Mro Belzera then introduced a Resolution entitleda
<br />"A Resolution Provzding f qr the Employment of an En.gineer.f or the Village of
<br />Mayiield on the Present Schedule of Compensation Until.the Next Regular r4eeting
<br />of Council, 14hen a.Salary Ordinance Can Be Passed", which resolution was read
<br />to Council, .

<br />law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate?occasions:be.suspended,
