<br />The Council of -the Vill.age of Magfield iriet in an open meeting at the
<br />ToVrn Hall at 8:00 P. Mo, Mayor Endress presiding.
<br />Ro71 Call: Present - Nessrs Swanson, Strater, Tayl.or, Brown, Falk
<br />and Hopki.ns.
<br />Absent - None.. '
<br />The Ma.yor, 14r. Clarence Endress, the Treasurer, Plr. Walter ftogers
<br />and the Clerk, rfir. Richard Godfrey, were administered the Oath of Office by
<br />Mr eAS°nold Edelman, a Notary Public o The Council 4embers, Mr. J. Edward Strater, Mr. Gustav Swanson, N?r.
<br />° Edward Taylor, Mrs. Marie Brown, Mra Fred Falk, and Mr, Robert Hopkins, were
<br />administered the Oath of Office by Mr. Arnold Edelman9 a Notary_ Public.
<br />Mayor Endress then.expressed his appreciation for the exce7.lent
<br />cooperat3on of the old Council members now on the new?Council. Mayor Endress
<br />also took this opportunity to express his appreciation for the help given him
<br />by rlrs. Endress, saying that her understanding and help had smoothed a great
<br />many of the rough paths a Mayor had to travel. In addressing the new Council,
<br />he did not min3:mize the hard work ahead and asked for the cooperation of
<br />everyone, saying that he hoped Council would take their work seriously, as
<br />there ,were many tasks to perform. "
<br />The Minutes of the regular meeti.ng of Decemberl9, 1955, were then
<br />reacl to Council. It was moved by Mr. Taylor, secondedbvsYro Stratex°, that
<br />° the Minutes be approved and passed as read.
<br />Roll Call: Ayes - 1"lessrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor9BroVm,Falk & Hopkins.
<br />Nays - None. Motian carried
<br />Minutes Approved
<br />Mayor Endress filed his bond in the ainount of Five Huncired (?500000)
<br />Do].lars, which was approved as to form by Mr. Edelman, Solicitor of Mayfield
<br />Vil].age, with the Clerk. It was moved by I1Ir: Taylor, seconded by Nr. Fa1k,
<br />-that 1''la.yor Endress' bond be approved. Roll Calle Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,Brown,Falk & Hopkins.
<br />Nays - None.

<br />Bond approved.
<br />Mayor Endress then asked tha.t a president of Council pro-tem be
<br />selecteci. Mro Strater nominated Mro Taylor and Mrs. Brown nominated Mr.swansono
<br />Council then voted as follows: Mr; Swanson passed, Mr. Strater, for Mr. Taylor,
<br />Mr. Taylor passed, Mrs. Brown for Mr. Swansan, Mr. Fa1k for Mr. Taylor and
<br />Mr. Hopkins for Mr. Taylor. Mr. Swanson then voted for Tir. Taylor, who was
<br />eleeted President of.Council pro-tem. T°ir. Arnold Edelman, a Notary Public,
<br />then administered the Oath of Office.
