M.a Ma.yor Endress presiding. , <br />Ro11 Ca11: Pxesent - 14essrs Taylor,Strater,Browm,Fa71c and Hopk3ns <br />_ Absent - None. <br />The Min.utes of the x°egu]ar meet3nv of rJarcn 19, 1956, were then <br />read to the Council. It was moved by lir. Taylor., seconded by Mr. Hopkins' <br />icha.t the Min.ut.es be approved and passed as. reado <br />ftoll Call: Ayes - Messrs Taylor, Strater, Browm, FaZk & Hopkins. <br />, A1ays - Norie, . <br />Motion carried <br />lZnutes approveci <br />P'layor Endress then reported that' as Mr. Gusfi,av Swanson had resign,ed <br />£ron the Council a.t the 1.ast meet3.ng, it tiaas notiT neces sary to select a <br />new member for tYnis position. Befoxe. considering nomination.s for th3.s <br />position' said Ma.yor Endress9 I- have a petition with some 200 names ask3ng <br />tha.t Nr. George Zorn be considered. - Ma.yor Endress then procveded to read <br />ths petition to Cotxncil. Mayor Enclress then asked that tlae meting be open <br />for nomanatiors. Mx. Taylor said that the Vi.]'! age .was fortunate i.n ha.v3ng <br />several citY.zens qua3.ifi.ed for this posi°tion, but tha.t he wished to <br />nomina.te Mr. Gaxl R. Wed]er to repla.ce Mr. Swanson. Mr. Falk then seconded <br />tids nominatior_. <br />It t,?as moved by rlr. Hoplc3ns, seconded Uy g7rs.
