Mr. Falk, reporting for the Planning and Zoning Conmli.ssion, trhich
had met on Tlay 7th, said that fi.heir first order of business was to grant
permission to Mr. John Levak to sp].it his lot ( located on the corner of
Beechhill and BonnievietiT Roads ) into two lots.
IZr. Falk then presented the 28-Lot development plans of the Caputo
Brothers, which the Comnri.ssion had considered. Most of the previous objec-
tions ha.d been e1.iminated, but the Comrru.ssion had asked that Joyce Drive be
moved slightly to the west a.nd qu.estioned lots 25 througn 28.. Mr. Fallk said
that, with these corrections, the commission had unan3mously approved of this
development. As one of the roa.ds of this development connected with Hemingy, ray
Drive, it brought to light the plight of Mre Stofcho and rh°. Garbas, who had
constructed their homes, using Hemingway Drive as a common driveway, tiTith
not more than five feet intex°vening between each hause and the road. OLu
Engineer reported ichat, as the Caputo Development was in acco3?dance with otxr
ordinance, it would have to be approved; that it t,ras too bad that these
people had been misled in.to bui.lding so close to the road but that the
Caputo Brothers should not be penalized for that. At this point an attempt
was ma.de to get Mr. Stofcho and Dr. Garbas to the Council, meeting and the
subject wras dropped for the tame being.
14ro Fa1k then presented a revised drawi.ng of the previ.ously approved
plans oi a subdivision north and adjacerrt to the Fisher Development on Thorn>
apple Drive. These plans of the Gerome and Capretta Builders'were xe-
suUmitted to relocate a road wluch was found to be too close to a ravine' to
permi.t development of the lots m This sub-development lrn.own as the Eastgate
'Estates, came up for a great deal. of discussion and it was fina.7ly movecl by
??. Taylor, seconded by Nlra vTedler, theu these revi.sed plans submitted by
Gerome and Capretta be approved, with the Un.derstanding that lots labelled
A on the plat are merely ior future development oniy and not incl.uded on
the preliminary plat.
Roll Call: Ayes - I":essrs Taylor,StratersWedler,Brown.,Fallc & Hopkins,
Nays _ None. Mr. Falk
reported tha-t the Commi.ssion had unanimously recommended to Council tha?
