Mt°. xopltiYas <br />reported tha.t the Sa,fety Comnittee had considered the matter of Storm Sewers <br />in the, Warton Parlc Area and had gone to Ridgebury Bouleva,rd to see at first <br />hand the conditian prevailing in the Aream TIe Manholes for storm and <br />sanitary were uncovered and inspected by the Comrnittee. These manho]°es took <br />an the storm and sanitaxy flow into our Vi1la.ge and tYrotigh the Wox°ton Park <br />Areao At the foot o£ Orcha.rd He3ghts and M3.ner, the Storm ancl Sana.i:ax°y were <br />in the same manhole and it was. f ound that a ma.n-made hole an the storiu sewer <br />was bei.rag za:sed -to relieve the sanitary sewer from Ma.yfie].d Heights. At - <br />flood tiim this caused large amounts of raw sewage °to spi11. into the stoxr,? <br />sewer, empty into a'bx°ook and fi1l the Woz°ton Park Area wi.th ra%r seVSage. <br />A 36 anch s°torm sewer froxa 14ayfield Heights was found to empty into a ma.nhole <br />on Ridgebury and then foreed into a 30 in.ch stoxm seti,rex°: eaixsing storm waters <br />to rise in the manhole and flood over the ]znclscape - bacl:ing up into basernents <br />on R3.dgebury, Boulevarcl. Pictures of .these conditions were taken; and presented <br />°to Council for inspectione The Comm:iettee then asked why th3.s condition was not <br />reported to oux engissa.ees° in the flood survey reaently rua.de o lir, Edelxnan was <br />asked what he recommended doing in this situation. Mr. Edelman sa3.d that Mr. <br />Gallamore had seen the p].aris for a new seuex° on Ra,dgebuxy but 14x°. It was kIr.
