A comittee of residents irom Thornapp].s Drive asked to speak and <br />demanded to lrnow why notYiing had been done about sidewalks along SOM to <br />Thornapple, inasmuch-as Couucil, had been asked about the matter at a previous <br />meeting. Mayor Endress said that he had been advised by the Po].:i.ce Department <br />tiza-t the School Bus ,;ras pickin.g up children from Thornapple, but would n.ot <br />wait if any were latev Mr. Strater said that if we did anything about side- <br />tralks, txre shou].d lnstall them all over the Vi17.age. Mr. Hopkins said that <br />he was going to meet with this c omn3ttee a?nd would then go irrto any plans <br />that seemed advisable. <br />11r. Falk, in referring to the Zoning and Plaxuling Comtna.ssion said <br />that there were a lot of things hanging fire that should be talon up b"y. this <br />connittoe., but nothin.g seemecl to come of any efforu to get them taken care of. <br />He felt that a definite mee-tin.g should be scheduled each month to get pencling <br />work cared for. Ma.yor Endress said that he did not think that Council Yad <br />the r:i.ght to set a da.te for any committee, that it was a prerogative of the <br />comrnitiee itself and he would try and straighten the matter tiri.th the chairman <br />of the committee. <br />The Finance Committee ha.ving approved the Pay drelinance, it zTas <br />moved by T'ir. Strater, seconded by Nr.
