Council discussed this matter a,nd then xeferred the letter to the <br />Buildiig Comml.ttee to obtain mora in"ormation before mak3ng any decision. <br />The subject of bids on the police car was again brough-G up, a <br />x°epresentative of t'tbe Mayfield Sales and Service having arrived.. As this <br />company had just received a sales price on their car, the confuma.tion of bids <br />was deferred until our meeting on Monday, November 26th, 1956. <br />It tib=as then moved by i4r. strater, seconded by Mr. Hopkins, tha.t a <br />special meeting be held on Monday, November 26th, 1956, at 8:00 P. M. to pass <br />ordinances to assess the cast of constructing water ma.ins in,Highl,and, SOyi <br />Centier and G1enview Roads, and ar?y other Uusiness that may come before the <br />meeting. <br />Roll°Cal1m Ayes - Messrso Taylor,Wedler,Strater,Brown,Fa71c g Hopkins. <br />Nays - Noneo <br />Motion carried <br />A letter from the State of Ohio, Departrrent of Ijighways, was then <br />read to Council' stating that the new contemnlated freeway would be knotirn as <br />HighwaJ No. 175 and enclosing a sample ardinance for Council's study. No <br />action tTas taken on this matter. - <br />Ib1r. Ede7man then reported that he had received a call from the <br />Solicitor of Highland Heigh-ts, asking us to embark on the Land.er Road 'Ylator <br />N1ain on a 50-50 basis.. As the main would Le entirely :inn Highland Heights, <br />it was proposed that they hand:le the construction and we pag our half of the <br />cost. As there would be an expense to tho property owners on the East side <br />of Larider above the cost to property owners on the west side, it was felt by <br />CounciZ that soinethang bettex° than a 50-50 agreement could be raached.
