Mr. Edelma.n then reported that some time ago petitions were r°eceived <br />from residents on Beech Hi1I Road' asking for water. He now had a].ettex° from <br />our Eng3.neer2 listing the frontage and tha.t just 50% had signed. However., <br />this _ 50% consisted of a1.l the property owners on the East side of the street. <br />The property owners on the -liest side alxeady had water. Mr. Ede7.man reported <br />that the estima-te of cost was around $11,000.00; with the Village portion <br />around $220.00. NTr. Edelman said that he would write to the petitioners <br />advising them of the cost and see t,rhat they wished to do, in view of the fact <br />thlt the property on the _Uest side of the street would probably not be assessed.. <br />.A letter from the County was then read to Council requesting pictuf°es <br />of new construction. Nr. Taylor., seconded by j?jr. Strater, then introduced <br />Resolution No. 369 en-titled: "A Resolution D3.recting the Police Depax°tment <br />to Take Photographs of BLtild3ngs Constructed in the Vi7la.ge of Nayfielcl Ihlring <br />the.Year.19501, which Resolution was read to Councilo It was moved by 4r. <br />Taylor., seconded by Mr. Hopkins' that the rules of law requiring a resolution <br />-to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll. Call: Ayes -messrs Taylor9Wedler,Strater,Brawn'Falk & Hopkinso <br />Na,ys ? None. <br />Motion'carri-ed <br />Ru1.es suspended. <br />It was moved by T'Iro Hapldns, seconded by Nrs. Brcnan, that Resolution <br />N'o. 369 be_approved and passed:.as read. . <br />Ro11 Ca1:L; Ayes - Messrs Taylor;Wedler,Strater,Brown,Balk & Hopkins, <br />ITays - None. . . <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution passed <br />I'Tr. Hoplfl..ns reported that his inspection of Thornapple Drive had been <br />held up b3r,.snow in November but, he, Mro Wedler, and owr Engineer kiad inspected <br />the road and everyth3ng recomrmnded had been done. Yr. DeMore said that a.l.l <br />the dYtches had not been opened, bulb acceptance of the road could be taken <br />care of now if provision was made to open the ditches when weather permi.ttede <br />There was a great deal of d iscussion in Covncil on this ma.tter and ways and <br />means sought to guarantee that the ditches would be opened when possible, if <br />the road iras accepted at this t5me. It w-as finally decided that the plat <br />would not be signed by the Clerk until a$500.00 check was recieved by the <br />clerk gu,aranteeing uncovering of the ditches and the p]at.would not be.signed <br />and recorded until certificate of ti-tle and check were at hand. <br />rir.
