Nags - None. <br />Motion caxried <br />It tfas then reported that Chief Ihznbar had started an Educa-tion <br />Program in the Mayfield School on Safety and it was felt that he was going to <br />do a go od j ob. . <br />Mayor Endress then •r$gorted that the Planning and Zoning Commi.ssion , <br />wou7.d meet on the 2nd Nonclay of each month at the Town Ha.ll and saia that he - <br />presumed that the results of the open meeting would be cli.scussed. <br />14r. Strater then reported that Mr. Wieland h:ad spoken agas.nst pre-fab <br />houses and wished that he eou].d do somethsng about them, that he had trouble <br />in gett3.ng them to conform to our building code. Mr. Strater thought that we <br />should either change our ordinan.ce or give the Build:ing Inspector enough <br />authority to get tough wi.th these people and do.some-th3ng about the irregtitlarities. <br />Mayor Enclress said that maybe we should decide rahether we warrted pre-fabs an <br />our code and might refer thi.s matter to the Architectural Board to make some <br />recommendations as to size and sections. <br />Mr. Taylor, reporting for the Finance Commi.ttee, said tha.t his Cormnittee <br />had been asked to look into the sa].ary sca]oe of the Po].iee Department,r that <br />the Conuni.ttee had di.scussed the matter, but would ]3ke to take it under <br />advisement for the time be3.ng. • •: <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter from Mayor Ritter gf Mayfiel,d. Heights, <br />advising that the County would not pave Ridgebury timtil all underground improve- <br />ments were in. Mr. Ritter sa3.d that Ma3rfield Heights was ready to proceed , <br />with the last water main on the Mayfield Heights side and asked what improve- . <br />ments were yet to be installe'd on tYie T'layfiel.d Vi7lage si.de and ended b;y '. saying that he thougYYt it very important to provide add.itional East-West .. <br />paved streets, and asked for an itrmiediate Miswer. Mr. Be More said that our <br />Village was.not the only one hold3ng:up this pavement program.? . Mayor Endress read another'letter from Mr. Ritter relative to The <br />Muna.cipal TrJork Shop to be hel.d in that city on Febxv.ary 13, '1957, and asking <br />for names of our public?officials. Mayor Endress then asked the Clerk to <br />take care-o£ this matter. <br />.1fiayor Endress then reported tha,t we had decided some time ago after <br />Mr. Worts' resignation to try and get along without a school guard ancl that it <br />was not working out veryr well. Mayor Endress then appointed Nrs. Spizak of <br />Seneea Road as a school guard as of February lst, 1957. Mayor Enciress-remarked <br />that Nlrs. Spizak had expressed interest in the job and liked chilclren. Mr. <br />Thulbar was of the opinion that she would make an exceptional guard.
