<br />NTinutes of the Special jleeting <br />April 6, 1957 <br />The council of the Village of Mayfield met in special meeting at <br />the Vi1l.age HaI1 at 8:00 P. M. pursuarrt to notice giveri to a11 members of <br />Council according to lazq. Iri the absence of Nlayor Endress, President of <br />Council, E&ard V. Taylor.presided as Acting Mayoro <br />Roll Call: Present -Messrs Taylor, Wedler, Strater, Brown, <br />Fa1k & Hopkins. . <br />Absent - Mayor Endresso <br />. N?rv Arnold 111. EdeZtnan, a NotarJ PuUlic' then swore in lZro Taylor <br />as acting Mayor. <br />` The I°Zinutes of th.e rAgular meeting of Marcn 18, 1957, was then <br />read to Counci7.. =t was moved by 14rs. Brown, seconded by 1'Zr. Strater, that <br />the Minutes of the. reoular meeting_ be approved and passed as read. , <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes -Messrs Wed1er,Strater,Broti,m,Fa1k and Hopkanse <br />iUays - None. <br />• Motion carried <br />Minutes approved <br />N.?n. Taylor then asked for reports from the Cammiticees. <br />Mre Falk9 reportins- for the Zoning and P].aruzing Commission, said <br />that no meeting had Ueen held since last Council meeting and Mro ra]l; said <br />tha.t one thing had cone up and that the Van Curen DeveZopmenu should be taken <br />care ofo Spring was aUout here and time was a factor now. _ <br />The Gabriel development was brought up and the sub;jec'c of our <br />new concre-te.road ordinance and whether someth„ing could be done aUout it. ' <br />Mr. Edel-nan said that any exception cou7.d be considered under the hardship <br />clause, but should be submitted to the Zoning and P1anning Corruuission first <br />befOre Council coul.d consi-der an exception to concrete paving on a hardship <br />case. As we were not to have a regular meeti?.?g, Council thought tha-c a <br />meeting could be held neax° luhe end of April, or first of iqa,y. <br />Mr. Fa1k then asked Council's considera.tion of the Gabxiel <br />Construction Coo devel.opment. Mr. Ned Ma.nn9 their attorney, then presented <br />Council with a' letter irom the coun-ty of Cuyahoga, written by I?ire -RU.zenski, <br />stating that the Cotuzty woul.cl authorize a tie-i.n connection into the HiJltop <br />Sewer and t,rould maintain it after completion, if so requested by the Village <br />of Mayfield, subject to the conditions stated: One - that it be designed <br />by a compe-tent engineering firm. T4ro, tlzat the tie,-,in be authorized on a <br />termora-ry basis' so that the station coul.d be abandoned in the f1a.ture when <br />a seVrer system was extended, Three9 that the cost be assessed annuaLy against <br />beneiii:ted propertuy.
