Manutes of the Speca.al. NJeeting <br />April 29, 1957 <br />The Council. of the Vi1la.ge of Ma.yfie3.d met in special meet3ng at the <br />Vg1:Lage Ha11 at 8:00 P. Me ptcrsuant to notice given to all members of Council <br />accordeing to law,, Mayor Enclress presid.zng. Ro71 call: Present -Messrs Taylor?Wedl.ex°p Stxater.'Brown.tF'aa.l.k & Hopkuis. <br />Absent - None. - <br />TYe Minutes of the Special Meet3ng of Aprit 6th' 1957, were then read <br />to Counci.1. It was moved by Yr. Stra.ter, seconded by Mr. Wedler, that the <br />minutes of the special meeting be approved and passed as xead. <br />Ro3,.1 Ca17.: Ayes - Nlessrs Taylor'Wedler,Strater,Broim,Fa].k & Hopkins0 <br />. Nays - None. kotion carried <br />- Minu-tes approved <br />Mayor Endress then explained tha.t the meeting was pr'ima.rily to hear <br />a°epoxts from the Zoning and P]°annin.g Commission on the a7lotments east af <br />SOM°Road: Mayor Endress then asked our° engineer for a report on Ridgebuty <br />Boulevard, Mr. DeMore said that the County was not go3ng to do anything <br />about the sewer, _but9 aftex° studying the situation' his compar?y recom-a;nded <br />an overhead system intb the semr at a cost of four or five hundrsd clollars <br />per house. Mr, De More then explained that this overhead system consisted <br />of blockang the sewer at the basement wa].l outlet;` installing a sump pump <br />-and running the sewer out].et above ground through the basement wall and <br />connecting into the sewer outlet ahead of the bulk head, Mre DeMore said <br />tht.t Mr. Puzenski wanted to install a 1.ift station which would _cost around <br />$55000 for the 11 houses and thi.s p].an would be cheapest and best. He <br />promised details for our next meeting. Mayor Endress said that this seemed the only way to handle this mixed- <br />up situation; that ouur°° engineer should get detail.s' of cost and sketches and <br />the people wou]ed have to do it themselvese We could perhaps recormnend plumbers, <br />if necessary, <br />Mrs Strater asked about the tear3.ng up°of Ridgebury for the new Bel,t <br />Zine, but Mayor Endress said nothing wa.s planned at present. <br />It was then moved by Mr. Wedler, seconded by Mrse Bxowra., that our <br />EngiYleer make sketches and a detai:l of costs for this situation, - <br />Roll Cal].: Ayes -Messrs Tay].or,Wedlnr3Strater,Brown,Falk & Hopkins. <br />, NgyS - NOt18 e <br />Motion carried <br />l.
