Mr. Strater <br />s&id that he woul.d'le't Mr. Taylor take overs <br />n <br />Mr?. Tay1.or reported that the Finance Oonnna,ttee had taken the mat°F,er <br />under advi.sement and9 althaugh the Commu.ttee realized that the Fire Department <br />was cioing an excel.lent joba the Comtrd.ttee covld not recaimnend a r°aise urxder <br />the present cond.itions. This.request was left with the Corrmu.ttee.. hoz-iever9 <br />for consideration in the t'uture. <br />Mayor Endress then read a 5.etter fx°om the Board of Gounty Conurdssioners <br />araswering his pequest that the County ftarnish slag for the mainfi.enanee of <br />Ridgebuxy Boul.evard. The Boarr3 snbm3.{;ted a copy of a xeport from the County <br />Engineer, stating that isn 3.ts present coraditi.on Ridgeburq' coul.d on1y be used <br />by abuttiMg property owners, and as it was not a t17x°rnxgh road; cou].d not <br />jus°F,ify the expertdi.tux^e of any money for its maintenance. However, the <br />Engi.neer did leave the cloor open by saying that., if the Municipalities would <br />participate to a ma,jor degree, something coulcl be worked out. Mayor Endress <br />said t,hat he hacl alsm talked -orith Mr. Dollard aiad that it might. be possible <br />for the County to go along wi.th some improveraent. P°There is a possibi7.ity' <br />ard a good poss3.bi.lity" said Mayor Endress, "that the Coun-ty w3.1l contribu.te <br />to this road, but right no,r it's vnpossibl,e_ to'give- aai estimate.
