`. Mayor Endress then appointed Mr. George Wieland as Service Director, <br />Building Inspector, Road ror'eman and 5treet Commissioner. It was moved by Mr. <br />Shaw, seconded byNir. Sloan, that this appointment be confirmed. <br />Roll Ca11: Ayes - Messrs.Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Niason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />, . ?. , <br />Appointcrient' Conf irmed <br />Mr. Edelman,'a Notary Public,'then administered the Oath-of Off ice <br />to Mr. l'lieland, .. ? , . . • ' ' `' : . <br />Nlayor Endress then read the report"s f roin the various ' departmentsr,to <br />Council. ' <br />Nlayor End'ress then brought up the changing of the name of Ravine Drive <br />and Thornapple Drive: Nlayor Endress read'a letter from Mr. Eclelman; saying <br />that they could not change the name of Ravine Drive until someone on Ravine. <br />Drive sent in a Petition. <br />Council then loolced over a report from the Building Department f or <br />the Year 1964. . " " <br />Mr. Mason' then aslced ab'out the status of ` our c•ourt' suits and? tiSr. Edelman <br />said that he had f iled an Answer in the Maynard Bicycle Suit; -that the County <br />had filed a Demurrer stating that the County was not liable f or def ects of a <br />road thai: lies wittiin a village. The Plaintiff in this suit was 'charged that the <br />County, under a consent ordinance, is liable.
