<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />Nlarch 15, 1965 , <br />The Council of the Village of A4ayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. P4. , Niayor Endress presiding. <br />Roll Call; Present - Messrs Shaw, Be.nnett, Walker, Masott, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - None. The Minutes of the regular meeting of February 15, 1965, were then read <br />to Council. It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the Minutes <br />of -the regular meeting.be appr.oved and passed as read, <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Niessrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes approved <br />Mayor Endress then astced f or reports from the Committees. Mr. Sloan, <br />reporting f or the Architectural Board, said that they had met and approved one <br />home. Mr. Bennett, reporting for the Building Committee, had nothing to reporte <br />Mr. Belzer, reporting ior.the Safety and Service Committee, said 'zhat <br />they had met on March 1, 1965, at which time Chief Shortle had asked that some <br />streei: lights be re-located on several side streets and lights instaJ.led at <br />several intersections and a survey made.regarding the cost of re-locati_ng <br />and installing new type mercury lights. This will be presented at the:nest <br />meeting. <br />Fire Chief Nelson aslced that the Village purchase a new electric pump <br />for field fires for approximately $64.50, _ <br />It was then moved by Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mr. Shaw, that the Fire <br />Department be authorized to purchase a new pump for approximately $64.50. <br />Roll Call: :Ayes - NTessrs Shaw, Bennett,Wall:er,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />riotion carried <br />rlre Belzer then reported that the Finance Committee set standard rates <br />for the Service Department and recommended that rates f or unskilled helpers <br />be set at 'P'1;25 per hour. _ <br />Mr. Mason, reparting for the Planning and Zoning Committee, read their <br />Min.u-tes to Councilo Mr. Robert Neroni then presented his plans to Council <br />for Subdivision Noe 1. Our Engineer said that he had not signed the plat as <br />yet but that it was in order. Council then had some discussion on street <br />numbers in this subdivision as these numbers changed with the curve of the <br />1.
