Les Foltz inf ormed Mayor Bennett that the streets have not been swept as <br />of yet e <br />Mr. Sloan had nothing to report on streets and roads. <br />Mayor Bennett asked Mr. Caplan about keeping an entrattce open f rom Beacher's <br />Brook in Aintree Park and Mr. Caplan stated that they will start paving the <br />entrance from Aintree Park Drive shortly. Caplan stated there Was never:intended <br />to be a roadway open across from Glenview in Aintree Park. <br />Mr. Walker, reporting for the Welfare and Recreation.Committee, regarding <br />the purchase and installation of a basketball back board and basket, stated <br />that they_will cost the,Village appi'oximately $155.00: The sehool board will <br />maintain the basket and keep nets on the basket.. The concrete wi11 be paid for <br />by the school board, approximately one square yard. . <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Davis, introduced a resolution, entitled: <br />"Resolution to Expend Approximately $155.00 to Purchase a Basketball Basket and <br />Backboard for Installation at the New Mayfield High School", which was read to <br />Council. <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Walker,'moved that the rules of law requiring <br />a resolution to be read'on three separate occasions to be suspended, <br />Roll Calle Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker8. Masott, Sloan & Davis.. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded,by Mro Davis, moved that the above mentioned resolution <br />be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mr. Sloan, speaking f or the Cemetery Committee, had nothing to report. <br />Mr. Busa, reporting for the Architectural Board, read the Minutes of the <br />meetings of April 28, 1966, attd May 12, 1966. <br />Mr. Busa had no report from the Civil Def ense. <br />Mr. Shaw, reporting for the Planning and Zoning Commission, stated that a <br />public hearing was held liy Council at the Town Hall on May 9, 1966, at 7m30 P.M. <br />concerned with the re-zoning of the property on.the Southwest cornes of Wilson <br />Mills Road and the Freeway.
