<br />Mayfield Village received a bill from Mayf ield Heights f or our share <br />of the water main on Ridgebury Blvd., stating that Mayfield Village owed them <br />over $2,000.00. It was checked by the Engineer and f ound that Mayfield Heights <br />owes Mayfield Village a refuttd of $794.00, which will be paid. <br />The report of the Equalization Board for the Wilson Mills sidewallcs was <br />read, and filed with the Council. <br />Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Shaw, introduced Resolution No. 689, entitled: <br />"A Resolution Approving the Report of the Assessment Equalization Board on <br />Objections Concerning the Estimated Assessments for the Improvement of Wilson <br />Mills Road by the Construction and Installation of a Sidewalk", which resolution <br />was read to Council. <br />Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Shaw, introduced Ordinance No. 969 entitled: <br />"An Ordinance Determining to Proceed With the Improvement of the Southerly Side <br />of Wilson Mills Road From the Easterly Line of SOM Center Road to the Westerly <br />Line of Hanover Road by the Construction and Installation of a Sidewalk, and <br />Declaring an Emergency", which ordinance was read to Council. <br />Mr. Reich asked if this was a reading. Mr. Edelman replied that it was <br />the first reading. <br />Service Director - No report. <br />Fire Chief - No..report. <br />Mayor Bennett read the calendar of events. <br />Mr. Reich, spokesman for the group of people on the South and North side <br />of Wilson Mills Road, East of SOM, reported that they had had many meetings <br />regarding the sidewalks and had retained a lawyer, Mr. David Shillman. They <br />do not wish to speak tonight, but will speak when Council is ready to vote. <br />Mr. Schultz spoke of the water problem on his property due to run-offs <br />from the Freeway and other developments. He spoke of using a bulldozer to divert <br />the water. Mayor Bennett and other members suggested that he contact the state <br />in addition to the Village. <br />Other residents of the Village asked if the detergents and oil had been <br />checked in the waterways.
