The Clerk-Treasurer then filed a communication certifying the estimated <br />life of the improvements and the maximum maturity of the Note and Bond proposed <br />to be issued in anticipation of the levy of Special Assessments for the improve- <br />ment of Worton Park Drive, North Woodlane llrive, Norman Lane, South Woodlane <br />and Woodlane Drive. <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Walker, moved that the said certificate be <br />received, filed and approved. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Niessrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - Nonee . <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. iiason, introduced Ordinance No. 990, entitled; <br />"An Ordinance to Provide for the Issue of a Supplemental Note in Anticipation of <br />the Levy_of Special Assessments and in,Anticipation of the Collection of Special <br />Assessments for the Improvement of Worton Park Drive, North Woodlane Drive, <br />Norman,Lane, South Woodlane and Woodlane Drive," which ordinance was read to <br />Council. <br />Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Shaw, moved that the rules of law requiring <br />an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Niason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mre Davis, moved that Ordinance No. 990 be <br />approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Busa, Walker, Mason, Sloan & Davis. <br />Nays - Noneo <br />Dlotion carried <br />Ordinance Passed <br />Mr. Mason asked if the people on SOM to Sandalwood had been served <br />notices for sidewallcs. Mre Lockemer replied that they had been. <br />Mr. Shillman, Attorney for the Wilson Mills residents objecting to <br />the sidewalks presented their written views to NIr, Busa. The Civic League, <br />represented by Mr. Schultz, presented a letter to Councile Mr. Lockemer read <br />the letters. . <br />Council recessed for ten minutes. <br />Mayor Bennett reported that there had been a proposed compromise from <br />the two groups. <br />Mr. Busa made a motion to reconsider Ordinance No. 986 to adopt the <br />proposed compromise. No second was madee <br />Mayor Bennett then instructed the Engineers to advertise for bids as <br />outlined in Ordinance No. 986. <br />5.
