<br />Minutes of Unoff icial Public Hearing <br />Held June 4, 1962 <br />An Unoff icial or SuppYemental Hearing, previously set by Council, <br />was held in the Council chamber of the Town Hall of the Village of Mayffeld <br />on June 4, 1962, at 8 o°clock P. M., Mayor Endress presidinga All Councilmen <br />were presenta <br />The purpose of the meeting was to give owners of trucks in residential <br />districts an opportunity to be heard on proposed Ordinance No. 766, dealing <br />with the parking acnd storage of trucks in residential districts, an official <br />hearing having previously been held on said Ordinance on May 21, 1962. <br />Mr. Herbert Zorn presented arad read a proposed revision of paragraph <br />(6) of proposed 3ections 7(a)o The purpose of Mro Zorn°s proposed revision <br />was to substitute the requirement of parking trucks behind the building line <br />and properly screened, in order that the owners thereof would not be put to <br />the expense of building garages. Attached to the proposed revision was a <br />Petition signed by 23 residents of the Villageo <br />A great deal of discussion followed, in which members of the <br />audience spoke for and against the proposed ordinance and the proposed <br />revisioa as presented by Mr. Zosn. Finally, membess of the Council present <br />instructed the Solicitor to prepare a revision of the proposed ordinance, <br />which would give persons presently parking and storing trucks on residential <br />property one year in which to build an adequate garage, provided that in the <br />meantime such person would keep a11 trucks back of the rear building line on <br />his property and properly screened. <br />There being no further business to come bef ore the meeting, it <br />was duly adjourned. <br />?
