It was moved by Mr. Wedler, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that Resolution No. <br />550 be approved and passed as read. _ <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. _ <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mr. Edelman brought up the subject of sidewalks and said that he had <br />been asked to cheek with,Aighland Heights on how they had handled the matter. <br />Mr. Edelman said that they had passed a resolntion calling upon the people along <br />Wilson Mills Road to install their own sidewalks at their own expense or at the <br />end of 45 days Highland fleights would construct such sidewalks and assess the <br />property. Mr. Edelman reported that all but 7,000 £eet had been completed to <br />date. Mr. Edelman said that it was neees5ary for the plans, specifications. <br />and estimate of cos,ts to be filed with the Clerk and asked Couneil about the <br />driveway,s and aprons. Mr. Edelman said there was some question as to whether <br />theq could be?:>compelled to pnt in concrete aprons where they alreadq had asphalt <br />driveways. Mr. Belzer said that there were not many cases where this would be <br />a questions . 'These was soffie,discussion as to how ous Engineer would get paid f or <br />this work. Mr. Peterson said the Engineer usually got paid on the whole thing <br />as:far as the job went; that most people put in their own and the city pnt.in . <br />what was lef t and the Engineer got.paid on this; that they were chargsd $10.00. <br />for each permit and $25.00 on certain streets where it was necessary to-establish <br />a line. Mr. Peterson said that we could have the Bnilding Inspector do the . <br />insgectioas and that we could give 30 days instead of the 45. <br />Ms. Mason, seconded by Mr. Belzer, then introduced a resolntion Authorizing <br />the Engineer to prepare and f ile an Estimate of Costs, Plaas, aad prof iles f or <br />Construction of Sidewalks on Wilson Mills Road, from SOM to I,ander Road on the <br />South side atad from S6A! to the Freeway oa the North side. <br />It was moved :by Mr. Mason, seconded by Mr. Bennett, that the rules of <br />law requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions be sus.pended. <br />Roll Call; Ayes = Messrs Zorn, Wedler,-Bennett, Mason,:Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />° Rules-Suspended <br />It was moved bq Mr. Belzer, seconded by.Mr. Wedler, that the Resolution <br />be approved and passed as read, <br />Roll Call; Ayes - Messrs 2osn, Wedler, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. . <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />4.
