Mayor Endress then read a letter from Mr. Russell pertaining to <br />the size of the school water main and the hydrants. <br />Mayor Endress read another letter f rom Mr. Koerber of Kenwood Builders <br />congratulating the Village on the matter of clearing otir streets of snoio. <br />Mayor Endress said that this was the sentiment of all the people who had <br />called him and that he wanted to express his appreciation to those who worked <br />on the roads. Mayor Endress said that he thought that they had done an <br />outstanding job. <br />Mayor Endress then reported that our snow plow had broken down, that <br />it was about sixteen years old, that the blade had been cut down and over the <br />years it had been repaired and nebuilt until it was now at the point af <br />failure completely and that, because ofthe emergency facirig the Village, <br />he had authorized the purchase of a snow plow blade in T4entor. Tfi is would <br />cost approximately $1,207,00 wifih our old blade traded in, <br />Mr. Wedler, seconded by Mr. Belzer, then introduced Ordinance No. <br />785, entitled: °'An,Ordinance to Provide for the Immediate Purchase of a <br />Snow Plow and Husing Hitch in an Emergency", which ordinance was read to <br />Council. <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Bennett, that the rules <br />of law requiri,ng an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be <br />suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Wedler,Bennett,Shaw,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. Motion casried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Wedler, seconded by Asr. Belzer, that Ordinance <br />No. 785 be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs Wedler,Bennett,Shaw,Mason,Sloan-& Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Ordinanca Passed <br />Mayor Endress then asked Mr. Edelman about the Border change between <br />our Village and Highland Heights. NIr. Edelman said that their 5olici:tor <br />was still sick and he had been unable to do anything. <br />Mayor Endress then asked Mr. Peterson about the Sanitary Sewer <br />Department with reEerence to the odors on Beechhill Road, Mr. Peteraon <br />said that he had received a communication from them9 but had not come to <br />any coraclusion as yet. He said that he was continning to follow up this matter. Mr. Peterson also reported that he had nothing on the SOM <br />water line as yet; that he had had a crew out but was unable io complete <br />the work. Mro Peterson had a f igure of $90, 000, 00, but no froni:age as yet. <br />There was a great deal of discussion of this matter in Council. The <br />Village only has $20,000.00 for its shara of the worlc. Mayor Endress <br />4.
