Mayor Endress then spoke of a meeting he had attended on land use, at <br />which time there cvas a discussion about the possibility of obtaining the cost <br />f igures of a road on property now owned by the Mount Vernon Estates. Mr. <br />Peterson said that this involves around six thousand f eet at about $100,00.a <br />f oot and includes a pumping station and that an estimate of costs could be made <br />for one or two hundred dollarse Mr. Weiss then remarked that we should sit down <br />and work out some street plans bef ore going ahead with any estimate of costs <br />and said that this one hundred dollars a foot was based on past experience. Mr. <br />Peterson said that a maximum of $400 would give a package estimate on these roads. <br />Mr. MAson, seconded by Mr. Shaw, then introduced a resolution authorizing our <br />Engineer to lay out street plans and estimate_of costs f or the area covered <br />by Ordinance No. 764, which resolution was read to Councilo <br />It was moved.by.Mr. Wedler, seconded.by Mra Shaw, that the rules of law <br />requiring a resolution to be read on three_separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call; Ayes = Messrs Wedler, Shaw,_,Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - Mr. Bennett <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended ' <br />It was moved by Mr. Wed.ler, seconded by Mr. Mason, that this. Motion carried <br />, Resolution Passed <br />Mayor Endress then:read,the.reports;,from the various departments -to <br />Council; <br />Mayor Endress then read a letter from Albert Porter, saying that, he <br />noticed that we had included Ridgebury in our maintenance Ordinance. Mr. Porter <br />said .that.he had no objection, but due to limited funds-that he could not do <br />anything f or Ridgebury, <br />Mr.e Mason then.asked if at the time of passing the consent ordinance on <br />the Freeway we had said anything about,street lights. The answer was no. <br />Nlayor Endress then spoke of attending the Police Chiefs' meeting on Maintenance <br />and Policing of the Freeway. Mr,:Shortle said that. at the last meet.ing -they <br />had appointed two members to contact Urich and Radcliffe and Nelson to see <br />if they could_come up with something. <br />Mr. Belzer again brought up the odor on Beechhill and asked Mr. Peterson <br />how they were coming with this matter. Mr. Peterson said that he had conf erred <br />at length with Mr. Puzenski and bef ore they go into any other chemicals they <br />want to add more chlorine and see what happens.
