<br />Mayor Endress then read the reports f rom the various departments to
<br />Council.
<br />The East Ohio Gas Co. having requested permission to constLUCt gas
<br />mains and service between sidewalk and curb on the North and East sides of
<br />Ravine Drive, East of Robley Lang as indicated in red on their print of Drawing
<br />No. D-6103, Sheet No. 1, dated Sept. 10, 1956, revised April 24, 1963, and on
<br />the North side of Walnut Drive, Southerly, as indicated in red on their print of
<br />Drawing No: D-9506, Sheet No. 1, dated August 22, 1962, revised Oc-tober 8, 1963,
<br />it was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Shaw that these requesta:`be granted.

<br />There was a great deal of discussion in Council on the permit into
<br />Robley Lane over an easement and all of Council were muc.h adyerse_to.such
<br />arrangements. Mr. Edelman assured Council, however, that there was nothing
<br />much that could be.done about the matte,r and,,the_party could,go.,to.court to
<br />get service through this easement. Mra Edelman alsoremarked that councilmen
<br />who abstained from voting were in effect voting yes. Mayor Endress then
<br />called for another vote, on this.mattero

<br />approve this request - that they were not in $ympathy with such a method.of

<br />Mayor Endress then brought up the f act that that the traff ic lights at
<br />the High Schoo.l had been approved for $1300,00, but after approval the
<br />Illuminat,ing Company had come up with the f act that two poles werF necessary
<br />and would cost $302.00. The last report was that they had found a way to put
<br />an anchor on the Mayf ield side which would knock $60.00 off this price; so
<br />that $1300.00 is not the final cost of this light. ,. . .
<br />It was then moved by Mr. Belzere seconded by Mr. Shaw, that Mayor
<br />Endress use his best judgtnent in settling this matter.
