<br />Special Council Meeting <br />July 20, 1964 <br />The Council.of the Village of Mayfield met in Special Meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 7:30 P. M. on Monday, July 20, 1964, pursuant to notice given <br />to all members of Council according to law, Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Ro11 Call: Present - Messrs Shaw, Bennett,Walker, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - Noneo <br />Mr. Edelman notified Council that the Bond Issue for a Service Garage <br />was not brought up any too soon to get it on the Fall ballot, that Wednesday <br />was the last day f or filing; that the Auditor had certif ied that $25,000.00 f or a <br />new municipal building and repairs to the Town Hall for 20 years would take m2242 <br />mills per dollar valuation or 2.2242 cents per $100.00 valuation; that he had <br />to work pretty f ast and had cleared with Squire, Sanders and Dempsey. <br />Mr,_Bennett, seconded by Mr. Shaw, then introduced Resolution No. 610 <br />entitled; "A Resolution Determining to Proceed With the Submission to the <br />Electors of the Village of Mayf ield, Ohio, at the November 3rd General Election, <br />the Question of Issuing Bonds For the Purpose of Paying the Cost of Constructing <br />and Equipping a New Municipal Building to House the Service Department Vehicles <br />attd to Alter, Repair and Improve the Village Hall", which Resolution was read <br />to Council. . <br />It was moved by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Sloan, that the rules of law <br />requiring a Resoluti,on to be read on three separate occasions be suspendedm <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw, Bennett, Walker, Mason, S1oan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was movad by Mr. Belzer, seconded by Mr. Walker, that Resolution No. <br />610 be approved and passed_as zead. ' <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs Shaw,Bennett,tdalker,Mason,Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mayor Endress then suggested that an ordinance be written covering <br />recompense'f or extra clerical help as he caas unaU12 to f ind anyone under the <br />present ordinance. Mayor Endress went on to suggest that perhaps at an hourly <br />rate of $1.50 per hour someone might be secured. <br />Mr. Shaw, seconded by Mr. Bennett, thett introduced Ordinance Noe 856, <br />entitled: "An Ordinance Authorizing the Mayor to Employ Extra Clerical Help <br />For the Mayores Court, Service Department and Planning and Zoning Commission <br />which ordinance was read to Council. <br />1.
