43 <br />MINUTES FO THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />.Village of Mayfield , <br />April 16, 1979. . <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfeeld met in regular.~.ession on <br />Monday, April 1B, 1979 at 8:15 P.M. in the Village Hall. Council <br />President, Vince Busa presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to th'e Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Bennett, Bordo.naro, Boger, Busa, <br />Flynn and Mrs. Hanus <br />Absent: Mr. Grogan <br />Also Present Were: Mayor Beebe; Messrs., Amendola, Feneli, <br />Hovancsek, Relic, Foltz, Sgt. Litman and <br />Chief Hejcl. <br />OPEN PORTION• <br />Mr. Jack Burkes, of 6213 North Woodlarie, stated-he had received a <br />letter from Village Engineer Steve Hovancsek re the filling in_of <br />the stream. He said Mr. Hovancsek recommended he contact the neighbor <br />Mr. Fiordalisi to discuss the problem. He didn't~;~,f~^1 it was his <br />- obligation to do this., he wasn't breaking the la~~,Mr. Fiordalisi was <br />-- .aid Council should do something about it. On March. 14th the" con- <br />tractor began to move the dirt and on the 20th,' the excavator was in <br />again and he had to ~3:??~. with him and he told h.im in no uncertain . <br />terms to talk to someone else. He. called Steve" and-was supposed, to <br />contact Gus but he was out of town. <br />Mr .. Amendola stated that some thought should be given to the time of <br />the year. He is satisfied with the progress Mr. Fiordalisi is making. <br />More soil will be removed form the area and landscaping has to°be , <br />•completed. <br />Mr. Burkes stated that Mr. Hovancsek had done a topQ of the area and <br />he had recommended the obstruction be removed. Why is the Rail Road <br />Ties and dirt still there? He wanted to know.ic~ Mr. Hovancsek has <br />authorization to re-shoo t. the grades. <br />Mr. Hovancsek .commented that the weather has been miserable for the <br />past few weeks and it is impossible to~do any grade work. The. man <br />will have to remove the obstruction: <br />Mr. Burke questioned the dirt that was piled on the east end of his <br />property; at least 10 to 15 feet in. <br />Mr. Amendola said he ~aas.not aware of any dirt being. piled on Mr. Burkes <br />property and said he would be there at 7:00 A.M, in the morning and <br />asked Mr. Burkesto meet him. <br />
