~1 <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING-OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayfield <br />June 23, 1979 <br />The Council of .the Village of Mayfield met in Special Session on <br />Saturday, June 23, 1979 at 5:10 P.M. in the Village Hall pursuant <br />to Special Meeting notices being hand delivered on June 20, 1979. <br />Mayor Beebe presiding. <br />Present: Messrs., Boger, Bennett, Flynn, Mrs. Hanus and Miss Trask <br />Absent: Messrs., Busa and Grogan <br />Also Present were: Mayor Beebe, Guerin Avery and Mrs.. Maynard <br />Mayor Beebe stated that the purpose of the meeting was to appoint <br />an Interim Finance Director. <br />Resolution 79-42~ entitled: "AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION MAKING THE <br />ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTOR ALSO THE INTERIM FINANCE DIRECTOR UNTIL <br />SUCH TIME THAT THE MAYOR CAN MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO BE CONFIRMED BY <br />COUNCIL." Introduced by Mr. Bennett. <br />Nayor Beebe read the resolution and asked for comments. <br />Mr. Bennett, seconded by Mrs. Hanus, made a motion to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Boger questioned if there was a time limit for which an appoint- <br />ment is to be made. <br />Mr. Avery replied that State-law requires one to be made within 30 <br />days if the Village has no legislation covering the matter. <br />Mr. Boger, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to pass Resolution <br />79-42. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />N&YS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Passed <br />Mr. Avery stated that due to the need for signatures on documents the <br />first thing Monday morning, a member of Council (present) should be <br />nominated as Council.President ProTem to complete the formalities of <br />
